They Hit a Marked Rock at Over 11 Knots
The ocean doesn’t care about theory, it cares about execution. I am James Evenson, a professional delivery captain, educator, and Navy Submarine Veteran (former Navigator, USS Nebraska SSBN 739). With 85,000 nautical miles logged, I teach the practical skills required for serious offshore passages. Be The Captain is an education platform for blue water sailors that focuses on the technical and psychological reality of life at sea. Our curriculum includes: Advanced Navigation: Navy-standard precision for small vessels. Heavy Weather Tactics: Real-world strategies for storm management. Marine Engineering: Technical deep-dives into the hardware that keeps a boat afloat. The Sailing Truth Show: Unfiltered analysis of the maritime industry. I am the author of the offshore field guide 'Be The Captain' and the upcoming 'Be The Crew'. This channel provides the high-level insight needed to lead at sea. Insight. Authority. Truth. Be the Captain.
