As my husband and I entered our mid-40s, we realized we were completely exhausted with corporate America and the effect it was having on our marriage and our kids. Something had to change. So we gathered our four kids, sold our suburban Texas home, and, regardless of having no prior sailing experience, bought a sailboat. Our "2-year sabbatical" began in 2016, and as of today (May 2023), we've sailed over 50,000nm and have officially circumnavigated the globe! We still have three kids on board (the oldest left for college in 2020) but are continuing the sailing adventure until they head out on their own. It's not our goal in these videos to be politically correct or show off our obviously very sexy bodies... We want to share honestly what we are experiencing on this adventure and how we are evolving as a family. We simply hope you laugh, learn, and get inspired. All videos will be rated TV-14. I’m on a mission to sail a 1910 sailboat (named TALLY HO) halfway around the world to compete in the race that she won in 1927. When I purchased the boat in 2017 she was a rotten hulk, but over the next 7 years, with the help of a lot of amazing people, I rebuilt TALLY HO from the keel up - documenting and funding the process through my YouTube videos. Now the adventure continues with a huge voyage ahead of us - and along the way we will be undertaking lots of projects, learning traditional maritime skills, and visiting interesting people and places.

Eleven years ago, we left the corporate world, sold everything, and set sail to explore the world. Since then, we’ve sailed around the globe 1.5 times, raising our family aboard our boat. Now, we’re designing and building the Nahoa M—an innovative aluminum catamaran for our next adventures.
