About

Day three of the 2025 Trans Sierra Norte, and by this point the race was starting to feel very real. The body was tired, the trails were still blind, and every stage seemed to ask a slightly different question. Sometimes it was fitness, other it was bike control and occasionally it was simply whether I could make it to the bottom without making a complete mess of things.

By day three, the novelty of “this is all new and exciting” had definitely started to mix with “wow, this is actually quite hard.”
