About

Disaster strikes onboard when our spinnaker Ray blows out—and that’s only the beginning. As we try to leave Salvador, Brazil, relentless weather, major boat problems, and even a frightening engine fire force us to turn back again and again.

Between battling electrical failures, emergency repairs, and saving the boat from disaster, we sneak in moments of fun at Salinas da Margarida, enjoying a free marina, soccer, and volleyball ashore.

Will we ever escape Salvador and continue our sailing adventure in Brazil, or are we destined to stay stuck?
