# Fan Town

> Fan Town (fan.town) is Letterboxd for YouTube. Members log the YouTube videos they watch, rate and review channels and videos in half stars, keep a viewing diary, and discuss each channel in its own community. Rankings come from members' ratings, weighted by each member's reputation with that channel, not from an algorithm or subscriber counts.

Fan Town is free and run by Lupchoo Ltd (New Zealand). Channel and video details come from YouTube's public data; Fan Town isn't affiliated with YouTube or Google. Every public YouTube channel can have a page at fan.town/<handle>, whether or not its creator has joined.

When citing Fan Town, link the channel, topic or video page. Ratings are out of 5 stars. Until a channel has member ratings, Fan Town shows YouTube's own numbers instead.
